Strong Looks Better Naked.

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday thus far. I actually just wanted to log on and write about a book that I just finished reading. I typically don’t find myself reading that often as I don’t have much time, but when I do I find it very therapeutic. The book that I just finished and I would highly recommend is called, “Strong Looks Better Naked” by Khloe Kardashian. Now I know that most people can’t stand the Kardashian family and that others absolutely love them, but who are we to judge? They are human just like the rest of us and they chose to build an empire and brand themselves. Personally I love the Kardashians and my absolute favorite one is Khloe which is why I was so stoked when I found out she was releasing a book.

strong-looks-better-naked-9781942872481_hr“Strong Looks Better Naked” is about her journey in the fitness world, some hardships she has overcome in her life, as well as what pushed her to become the strong minded individual that she is today. The overall concept of this book is an excellent one. The whole thing is filled with such positive energy and motivation material that you truly find yourself questioning whether or not you are doing what you want in life to be happy. I used to be a very negative person and I am constantly reflecting on my body image and saying how I could look better and in the book Khloe herself mentions the following:

“There is no such thing as perfect. Nobody attains perfection. But if you keep working at it, you grow and evolve, and to me that’s sort of the point: to be a better person today than I was yesterday; to become the best possible version of myself.” – Khloe Kardashian

This specific quote hits home because she is absolutely right. Nobody is perfect and nobody ever will be. Of course everyone has their mindset of what perfect is, and who is and who isn’t, but you need to be able to create the perfect you want to be and not let society, love, social media, or any of that destroy you. Life is about bettering yourself and making sure that you are living the way you want to and defining perfect your own way. Within the book she does also talk about some relationship advice and how sometimes the person you love doesn’t love you back and that is okay because someday you will find the one. She is right about that as well. Relationships are tough and you can’t beat yourself over something that didn’t work the way you wanted it to. Be patient.

strong-looks-better-naked-9781942872481.in03Overall, the book is very uplifting. I found myself thinking about how I want to thrive to be a better me. It showed me that no matter what I am creating my own happiness and that I can’t live my life based off of what others think. If someone isn’t happy with what you’re doing then that is the monster they have created within themselves. They are upset that you are living life the way you would like and they aren’t doing the same. Don’t ever let anyone try and take your happiness away. Smile, work hard, thrive to live a healthy lifestyle and be the best version of yourself you can be.

H&M x Coachella

Coachella season is here and everyone knows what that means…festival looks. Over the weekend I bought two new things to add to my wardrobe. The first thing I bought is definitely something that can be worn at Coachella considering it came from the H&M x Coachella Collaboration. Now I have been searching for almost a year and a half for the perfect pair of overalls but nothing seemed to come available that I honestly liked nor needed. I was out shopping around one day and I had seen a pair of overalls for guys that caught my attention. For some reason I didn’t try them on and two weeks later I found myself wondering where I had saw them. While I was out and about shopping because that is all my life consists of, a worker at H&M informed me that they would be getting overalls in for their Coachella line and that they would be light wash, distressed, and shorts.

I orgasmed.

I waited around for two weeks like the worker said and once the line was released I logged onto H&M’s website only to find that there was no overalls to be found. I called customer service and they informed me that they had some but for some reason they didn’t advertise them. I called around to different H&M’s in my area and only one store had a pair left and they were a size Large. Now I don’t work well with Large, but I needed them. As I arrived to the store I tried the pair of overalls on and they were too big. I decided to walk around the store and glance at the other Coachella stuff they had created and as I walked past a mannequin I noticed that it had a pair of the overalls on. I looked at the size anOverallsd guess what? IT WAS A MEDIUM! THE LAST MEDIUM! Now I have worked retail so I know how much the fucking workers hate taking things off the mannequin’s, but guess what, I don’t give a fuck. I purchased the overalls and look at how beautiful they are. Majority of you are probably thinking, “Why would you wear overalls? This isn’t the 90’s.” Well bitches, overalls are in style. Especially for festivals. Deciding what to wear with these can be a bit of a challenge so let me give you an idea. These overalls can be worn with ANY color of shirt you choose to wear them with. I chose black because I have no soul and also because black makes you look skinny. I then decided to wrap a black and red flannel around my waist. When wearing these make sure that you don’t wear both the straps in front buttoned as you may look like a complete toddler. You want to make sure you have one unbuttoned. When it came time to pick out shoes to go with this ensemble I decided to go with black vans as it matched the shirt and the flannel. I know not everyone is going to be wanting to rock overalls so that is why I decided to pick up a second item over the weekend.

Drum roll please……hmprod

White skinny jeans! Everyone who knows me knows that I can not wear white so deciding to buy these jeans were such a struggle. The thing about white skinny jeans that scares me is that I may sit in something or spill something on myself. Now luckily I am not a lady and I don’t have to worry about lady nature happening because lord knows that would be a nightmare. With that being said, lets discuss how you could style these. Personally I would rock these with a light baby blue turtle neck sweater with some baby blue vans or maybe even white vans. Another way I would style these pants is with a black band like t-shirt and maybe some combat boots and a flannel. White pants are so versatile when it comes to either being grunge, preppy, hipster, beachy, whatever the style and that is something that made me really want to buy them. I know that there is a risk of sitting in bubblegum or chocolate ice cream or simply dropping honey mustard on myself while shoving chicken nuggets in my mouth, but I personally believe that anyone and everyone should own a pair of white pants. If you don’t own a pair, go purchase some!

Both of these products could easily be worn out to a number of events. If you want to know where I purchased both items well that is easy, H&M! Now I wasn’t entirely impressed with their collaboration with Coachella but hey, there is always next year.

I truly wish that I was attending Coachella this year as I love everything about festivals, but unfortunately I am not. However, I will be doing a review after Coachella to give you a guys an update on what I thought of this years fashion choices at the festival.

Stay tuned!

My Daily Skin Routine!

Whether you are a male or a female you have your own routine when it comes to taking care of your skin. Back in High School I was probably the hideous kid that everyone made fun of because my skin was horrible and covered in acne. Now being covered in acne isn’t ideal for anyone, but our body creates these so called monsters and there isn’t anything we can really do about it besides take better care of our skin. Over the years my skin has progressively gotten better and I couldn’t be happier about it, but I still have my days where I want to rip my face off because a huge blemish decided to pop up on my pretty little face overnight. I have tried everything when it comes to face wash, acne pills, certain moisturizers and everything I have tried makes me break out worse than I did before. Now thank God I have some amazing friends and there are amazing beauty gurus out there that gave me input because these two products I am going to MAKE YOU GO BUY are amazing. Did you see how many times I just said amazing? AMAZING! Anyway, the first product is used often by mechanics and you are probably thinking that it doesn’t sound like something you should use on your face, but you’re wrong.

41WFz+G4vEL._AC_UL320_SR192,320_Boraxo is a powdered hand soap used to get the dirt and grime off your hands no matter what you get on them. Now how I discovered this product was through a friend. He mentioned that his mom’s dermatologist actually recommended it to her. I don’t know about any of you, but I have super oily skin when it comes to my face and this product dries my face out just enough to keep the oil away. After using this product for a month the decrease in blemishes made me realize that I have in fact found exactly what I have been looking for. However, I noticed that it dries your face out so much that you have to have a damn good moisturizer to hydrate your skin and give it that normal, non lizard look.

s789727-main-LheroClinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is the greatest moisturizer I have used to date. The reason I love this product so much is because it is an oil-free moisturizer and like I mentioned before I want products that aren’t going to make my already sometimes oily face any worse. Using Boraxo and then immediately applying this moisturizer has worked so well for me that I will never go back to using anything else. One good thing about this moisturizer is that unlike most it doesn’t leave your skin feeling heavy, sticky, or with a weird chemical smell.

Now if you are worried about spending too much money on products that you think may not work for you I highly suggest these two products as they are very inexpensive. Boraxo can be bought in most stores at about $3 a can and Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel can usually be found in Ulta or Sephora for about $15 and that is the price for their travel size which last me about 2 months and I use it every day.

With that being said, go purchase these products and let me know what you think!

Touché LA X Morgan Stewart Collection

One of the most fabulous people in the world is getting ready to drop her athletic clothing line for women on Monday and I couldn’t be more excited. Morgan Stewart is from the hit E! Show “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills” and she is also the author of the blog “Boobs&Loubs.” As mentioned in my first post, there are two bloggers that inspired me to create my own and she was one of them. The line is going to be released as a collaboration with Touché L.A and there will be a two-day pre sale starting Monday March 21st, 2016. It will also be on sale later this Spring and into Summer at Revolve.

Based on these pictures below I have a feeling that this is going to be one of the hottest collections of the season.

Now unfortunately the line doesn’t include any products for men, but she did mention to me on twitter “I’m Sorry! Next Time!” I am hoping that means she plans on continuing her line and adding products for men sometime in the future. From the looks of things it looks like she may have a few jacket options in the line which I will definitely be purchasing so I hope that there may be a size that fits me.

Make sure you check out the collections pre sale on Monday at http://www.touchelosangeles.com, tune in to watch the season 4 premiere of “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills” April 17th at 10pm, and make sure you follow Morgan Stewarts’s blog at http://www.boobsandloubs.com.
